HOW DOES NLP AND LIFE COACHING FIT TOGETHER?
NLP coaching, sometimes called life coaching, has become a buzz word and is increasingly getting good press in the UK.
So why is this and what is a coach or an NLP coach?
In the UK we don't particularly like the word therapy or admitting anything is 'wrong' with us. So nlp coaching is a good option, because we can say we are having coaching and it's positive
An NLP coach is perfectly situated to take care of 'therapy' and also to assist in a persons' personal development, when coached by the 'right' person.
SO WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN NLP COACH AND A NON-NLP COACH?
It's a question of choice after all. The relationship between practitioner and client will be what makes the oven hot, so it's not always about the training the coach has had or even perhaps the life experience.
What we do know is that an NLP trained coach will have a toolkit which includes about at least ten techniques which can change their life considerably (and I am talking about change at the neurological level, not just the psychological level). If they are trained through FORLIFECOACH.COM, they will also have Time Based Techniques training and Hypnosis training, both to practitioner accredited standards.
That means there's nothing they can't handle in terms of health, healing and motivation.
At FORLIFECOACH.COM, we are training up coaches to assist this huge demand for evolution of people in their career and as who they are themselves.
One of our visions is that future businesses will concentrate on developing their staff as people as well as having them inside the companies to assist in making money. This is not exactly a pipe dream as I have myself worked in such a company about 20 years ago. The company was a telephone marketing service and it went from 2 telephones in a room to a multi million pound corporation within two years.
It was based on the principle that every person has a purpose and that working, we are developing ourselves as people, as growing, evolving beings. This doesn't mean we were all wrapped up in cotton wool and that the managers were our parents. It simply meant that we were all managed to lok at our results as being part of who we were that day, and in life generally. If no-one was in when the caller rang out, we would be asked to look at if we were in that day or not? Everything was self-reflected, which made it a confronting environment, yet one of the most rewarding in terms of connections and opportunities.
This ideal has stayed with me and it's how we run this company. Every person who does something here, from the web designer Zain, to the sales team, to the assistants that come and give their time on the course, are asked what they are learning and developing in themselves.
My vision for the future of coaching is that our coaches develop great relationships, assisting people toward their next part in life. We all know that something is waiting for us, something we should be doing, something that's calling.
Your coach should be someone who's assisting those changes, beyond what you thought could happen.
